Monday April 14, 2025
It has been a little over a week since the team and I arrived in Kenya, and this is our first opportunity to post a blog. I arrived April 3rd and Linda Galle, Peter Young and Abigail Vanderpol arrived a couple days later, and we had breakfast together.
After breakfast, we all attended John's church, Karura Community Chapel, where Linda and Peter got to spend time with some of the children in Sunday School.
Monday morning we loaded up into Pastor Stephen Muntet's Land Cruiser to head down to Nalepo.
We made a couple of stops on the way including the Great Rift Valley overlook, and a stop in Narok for lunch.
We arrived at Stephen and Betty Muntet's home Monday evening, and Tuesday morning left the house early to spend the day in Maasai Mara game park.
We saw a huge variety of animals and birds and other critters in the most amazing game park in Kenya.
Cheetah
Grey Crown Crane
Dik Dik Deer
Vervet Monkey
Male Lion
Lion Pride
Ostrich
We saw lots of elephants and many more animals.
We enjoyed a wonderul lunch in the park at the Sarova Mara hotel, and John and Abigail took a break from the wildlife viewing with a game of darts.
I will try and post more tomorrow, but John and Frank and I are getting ready to travel early tomorrow to Churo for our next conference. I'll try to finish our week with a report on the leadership conference and the VBS led by Linda Galle. Thank you all for praying for us! We have all remained healthy and the grace God has met us at every turn.
