Hi everyone, it is Saturday night and we just finished a week of teaching in the Pastoral Epistles with about 140 pastors and church leaders in Lokichar at the Full Gospel Church. I apologize for not posting sooner but our days have been filled with the conference and first world issues at our hotel. The hotel, Arid Summit, is a great hotel for our team, but the most important element here is the electricity and the AC. The temperature has been 97 to 100 degrees. Apparently the hotel owner has been having trouble connecting with Kenya Power to provide electricity, so they have a 60 KW generator and solar power to run the lights and AC. Unfortunately, they don't have people who understand how these things work so we have been chasing down solutions. Fortunately, we have Frank on our team who understands how they work so he's been busy teaching the hotel people how to do it. The intermittent power has been the issue, but now, on the last day, we seem to have solved it all. That is a long explanation to say why we haven't posted until now.
ettThe conference was a great blessing to the pastors and leaders who attended. I heard from several pastors who had attended seminary that what we were presenting was so much better then what they had learned at their schools they wished we could continue. We are thankful to God that the instruction was so well-received!

We held Q & A sessions everyday to give everyone an opportunity to ask questions of the material we had gone through. I think these hour and half long session were probably more profitable in practical respects than the teaching times. We had some great clarifying questions from the attendees, and it really kept the teachers on their toes!
We capped off this five day conference by handing out Global Study bibles and bible study books to everyone. We thank Crossway and Ekklesia Afrika for providing these resources free of charge to these pastors and church leaders.
